Gali was signed to the Patriots practice squad on Dec. 28, 2001 and spent the entire postseason on their practice squad. He was a memeber of the 2001 Superbowl champion Patriots team. The 6-foot-4-inch, 275-pounder was originally signed as an undrafted free agent following the 2001 draft by the San Diego Chargers.
